As a revision of our former Way of St. James tour, we present to you a journey that takes you from Pamplona to Galicia and back to the Basque Country. Here you will get to know the north-western regions of Spain. The travel season promises blooming landscapes as well as green meadows and forests.
The Way of St. James, probably the most famous pilgrimage route in the world, determines the program in the first part of the journey when it goes to Santiago de Compostela. But don't worry, the religious aspect is secondary, because every sacred building has its own unique story that is interesting and worth seeing for us.
The second part belongs to the Atlantic coast, the Bay of Biscay and the Basque Country, where there is history and stories to be learned in the various places.
Learn the differences between pinxos and tapas, red Rioja and white txakoli, and give asado, churros and the various regional dishes a try. Short stages and days at leisure give you plenty of opportunity to move around in nature or reflect on what you have seen.
This trip is part of the “Spain's Green North” tour, which begins in Barcelona.
