You will get to know some of the oldest Russian towns and their unique monasteries as well as historic and cultural monuments.  This tour includes a short stay in the Russian capital, as the Golden Ring offers much more.  Some of the oldest market and trading towns round off the visit. 

The return tour travels through Belarus, and the tour ends with entering Poland, which is easily explored on your own.
